Brookbottom Mills

Situated in the foothills of the Peak District, the site at Brookbottom in Mossley was once a thriving cotton milling operation. Following the demise of the business and subsequent dereliction, we were approached by an overseas private investor who was seeking development investment opportunities in the UK. 

Having complete our development assessment, we entered into a joint venture with our Client to bring forward the site as a comprehensive redevelopment scheme.

The site posed substantial engineering, access, design and planning challenges. Following extended consultations with the local planning authority, we managed the development, design and disposal of the site, resulting in a successful planning application which delivered 144 dwellings.
